Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

BidCannon is a product of Payette Labs LLC, based in McCall, Idaho. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean Payette Labs LLC operating BidCannon.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text), and business information you provide (business name, phone, address, logo).

Quote & Invoice Data: We store quotes, invoices, customer information, services, and payment records you create through BidCannon. This is your business data — you own it.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage information like page views, feature usage, and performance metrics to improve the product.

View Tracking: When your customers view a quote or invoice, we record the view timestamp and a hashed (anonymized) identifier to provide you with view activity insights. We do not store raw IP addresses.

Payment Information: We do not directly store credit card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which maintains PCI DSS compliance. We store only subscription status and Stripe customer IDs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain BidCannon services
• To send quotes and invoices on your behalf (via email or SMS)
• To process subscription payments
• To send you service-related communications (account verification, billing, product updates)
• To improve our product and fix bugs
• To provide customer support

We do not sell your data. We do not share your business data with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BidCannon:

• Supabase — Database and authentication (data stored in the US)
• Vercel — Application hosting
• Stripe — Subscription payment processing
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (quote/invoice emails)
• Telnyx — SMS delivery for quote notifications

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We select providers with strong security and privacy practices.

5. SMS/Text Messaging

When a contractor sends you a quote, invoice, or follow-up message via SMS through BidCannon, you will receive text messages at the phone number provided. Message frequency varies based on contractor activity. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from BidCannon. You may also contact support@bidcannon.com to request removal.

BidCannon uses Telnyx to deliver SMS messages. Your phone number is shared with Telnyx solely for message delivery purposes.

6. Data Ownership & Export

Your business data (quotes, invoices, customers, services) belongs to you. You can export your data at any time. We will never hold your data hostage or restrict access to it — even if you cancel your subscription or close your account.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted database storage at rest
• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Hashed passwords (never stored in plain text)
• Regular security updates and monitoring

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication (keeping you logged in) and basic preferences (like dark mode). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Your Rights

You can:

• Access all your data through the BidCannon app
• Update or correct your information in Settings
• Export your data at any time
• Delete your account by contacting us

10. Children's Privacy

BidCannon is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
